Don't swallow the pill! It is the Lie

Mr. Obama gave an address last night regarding health care coverage, and outlined his intent to revamp the current system. This essay is not about that. It is about a remarkable reference in the middle of the speech, something that stood out in its strangeness. Adam Rosenberg of MTV Movies blog said that it was a "somewhat indirect reference." Ben Smith of Politico said the reference was a "puzzling abstraction" which is an understatement if you are a Christian and understand exactly what Obama was really saying. In any case, the reference stood out, immediately, to millions. And the internet is buzzing about it today.

Obama referred to a scene in a science fiction movie "The Matrix" in which the seeker wants to know the truth. The one who has been guiding the seeker explains that he can take the red pill, in which he will see ugly reality for what it is, or he can take the blue pill and remain under his current, pleasant delusions.

Obama asked, "If there’s a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that’s going to make you well?” he asked. There is a reason this weirdly placed metaphor was uttered last night, and it is closer to the truth than anyone can imagine. Let us parse what Obama is really saying.

In the Garden of Eden, the serpent approached Eve and slyly asked her why she was banned from eating the fruit on the particular tree. The serpent asked Eve, "Did God really say that?" 'Why not eat it? It will make you see reality,' "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened," the serpent said. Last night we had a man asking the American public the same thing. How strange that our elected leader asks the American people to take the blue pill, the pill which in pop parlance that offers illusion! Worse, he slyly asks us to pop the pill because it is less expensive. How cheaply he asks us to trade reality and truth! Just as the serpent back in the garden, Obama offers a sly choice and couches it in language as in Revelation "Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." (Rev 10:9)

Mr Obama is right. There IS a choice before you. The choice is to accept Jesus ... or not. "He who is not with Me is against Me," said Jesus in Matthew 12:30. It is that simple, there is a red pill and a blue pill.

This man who purports to be a Christian said that "The stars are aligned for health care reform,” an occultic reference to activity that God expressly prohibits in the bible. (Deuteronomy 18:10-14). He whispers that delusion is better than Truth, and he puts before you a choice: red pill or blue pill? Which will you swallow? “How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?” (Jeremiah 23:26). Eve answered God, saying, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

In this strange statement, this 'puzzling abstraction', which is not puzzling to a Christian because archetypal as it is with satan's lying language, it was recognizable as a neon billboard. Our national leader urges us to swallow the blue pill of delusion ... with that strange "indirect reference" Obama could very well have revealed himself to be the prophesied False Prophet.

Time will tell. The only truth there is, is the Lord Jesus as revealed through the Holy Word. Read it and pray for discernment in these delusional end-times! Stand on Truth and swallow nothing the liar offers!
